Is it Politics, Cricket, Marketing Gimmick or Patriotism up every ones sleeves?

Last Couple of weeks were quite eventful in the build up to IPL & release of My Name is Khan by Shahrukh khan. The question on every one’s mind was if it was worth it to comment on Pakistani Players not included in IPL; was it just a Gimmick to make sure that his Film do not suffer in the neighborhood country and also he may be able to camouflage the act by saying it just meant India is as a country who welcomes everyone no matter how much the neighbors try to screw the country. In case Mr. Khan was really concerned about the foul done to Pakistani players; he should have himself bought one and have lead from the front; as good as to walk the talk. In that scenario the only conclusion one can draw out was; he tried making sure that his films do not suffer; which I think was pretty shrewd or rather cunning on Mr. Khan’s part. But to his dismay backfired; which was cleverly disguised under a democratic view endorsed by Home Ministry as well.

On top of it Shiv Sena & MNS who always are trying to maintain a stand on Marathi (Local ) people owing the city and not the Indians somehow tries the divert the attention by criticizing Mr. Khan over his remark on Pakistani players which for a change I supported. But I do differ on their ideology of Mumbai just belonging to Maharashtrians and not every Indian. Thankfully some one thought about the country when the Einsteins of the Terrorism met in POK (Pakistan Occupied Kashmir) to chalk out further strategies to destroy India as country. At this juncture India is proposing Foreign Secretary level talks with Pakistan who is comfortably dumb and deaf to these meeting and allowing further of these.

Although this blog is dedicated to Cricket and talks around the game but couldn’t stop myself to laugh on the irony of India proposing the talks with a terrorist nation; I doubt the foreign policy of current government in India.

Every one routing for inclusion of Pakistani players in the IPL; but let’s just analyze their performance as a team down under. Gone are the days when they use to have Imran, Wasim, Waqar & likes of Inzi & Anwar up their ranks to make them win from any situation. This current team is so low in confidence that I doubt Injury hit West Indies could send them packing. To top it all the bad performance of their much speculated “to be” Captain and one of most explosive players of our era who has added greatly to the game but has self-destructed beyond imagination; a flash of genius one moment and a descent towards stupidity the next. Nobody else would do a pirouette on the pitch with spikes on. Hardly anyone would score a century off 45 balls opening the batting against a potent adversary. And certainly nobody would bite a dirty cricket ball and hope to camouflage the act by saying he was smelling it!

Day in – day out; this team is jinxed with Allegation of Match Fixing & Ball tempering and the controversy just does not die down. This Incident has surely given confidence to these allegations at par. We all know as a Team the so called T-20 Champs couldn’t even chase 128 and were left licking their wounds at 125 just 2 short of equalizing the total set up by Aussies. With these performance on their CVs they want to be playing for IPL; I doubt the cricketing brains of these Franchise holders; would they have chose any of these players based on their performance in last 2-3 months.

It's time Pakistan cricket looked in the mirror and owned up to poor out cricket and questionable tactics as their two biggest hindrances in improvement. Skill isn't a failing with Pakistan cricket but execution is.

Last but not the least; SAVE TIGERS – there are just 1411 left in the country; that’s my bit to create the awareness hope it contributes in saving the National Animal
